Pavy: Historical junkie, I'm not really into politics to be honest. I just watch history channel all day and rap about those things because history doesn't ever change. So no matter what year somebody hears that line they will always know what I'm talking about because history doesn't change.
TRC: You have a song featuring Sir Michael Rocks - "Heroin". How did that song come about?
Pavy: Honestly it was just a business decision we have some mutual people that we both work with so once we got the business correct with it we just pretty much made it happen. No real cool story it.
TRC: What does the "Theory Of Defiance" mean to you?
Pavy: Basically just knowing your odds but not caring enough to be held down by them and not holding yourself to other peoples expectations at all. Like since I was probably about 16 I learned how to be comfortable with myself and not have to do what the crowd was doing to feel cool, like I didn't start rapping to be cool honestly I got picked on every single day in high school because I wanted to do music. All I ever heard was it won't work so I kinda took up a me against the world type attitude since my teenage years. That's why I can do things like drop out of college when literally my whole family is educated with a college degree, that's why I can drop out and chase my own path because I know who I am. The world doesn't like leaders because they are defiant so it's basically just about being a leader and defying the odds like I said before.
TRC: Where do you want to be, career wise, one year from now? and how do you want to be able to accomplish that?
Pavy: One of those underground artist that people talk about as next to get signed by a major. As far as how I'm going to get there will basically just be to keep pushing TOD until the wheels can't roll anymore honestly. Of course I'm working on new music but that won't be coming out for at least a year I really want to work this project so expect to see a lot in the future that's TOD related. Like remixes (maybe) and WHOLE LOT of videos.
TRC: I have noticed a few religious testimonies in your music(I.E. "Lord Jesus"), how would you describe your faith, and most importantly, how does it keep you focused on your path ahead?
Pavy: My faith doesn't really keep me focused on my path it just helps me not worry and not stress about things, like I just pray about it and leave it alone. That's why I'm always optimistic about everything because whatever God's will is, it will happen but in the mean time I'm going to do what I need to do to put myself in a position for a blessing. Just because I believe in Jesus doesn't mean I expect him to do the work for me in the end if I'm not a Icon I can't blame anyone but me.
